A good night for The Shape of Water and Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri.
The Shape of Water took home the awards for best picture and best director for Guillermo del Toro, while Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell were named as best actress and best supporting actor for standout performances in Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Unfortunately, none of the Irish nominees on the night went home with awards in their respective categories, while amongst the other big winners were Gary Oldman, Allison Janney and Icarus, the fantastic documentary about an international doping scandal.
