Today is Easter Sunday. Tomorrow is a bank holiday. Each day bleeds into the next.
Thankfully, we have movies to somewhat lessen the monotony of life in lockdown. You’re only allowed travel 2km from your home, so why not partake in an activity no further than 2m from the couch?
We’ve sieved through tonight’s options and put together what we think is the best selection of movies on TV this Easter Sunday (12 April).
Sing – ITV2 – 5.50pm
We know it hasn’t been easy keeping the kids entertained when they can’t see their friends, grandparents, cousins or even all that much of the outside world. Let this delightful film about singing animals do some heavy lifting.
Jumanji – Comedy Central – 6.30pm
Not the new one, but the classic starring Robin Williams. Ideal for if you want to treat to your kids to the glory of the 90s.
Jaws: The Revenge – ITV4 – 8.10pm
Not the original but this one does have Michael Caine playing the shark. Just kidding, he plays a human.
Spectre – ITV2 – 8pm
Not the best of the Daniel Craig Bond films but decent entertainment.
Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer – E4 – 7pm
Back before superhero movies were any good. I always liked the Silver Surfer though.
Pretty Woman – Channel 5 – 10pm
A classic. Julia Roberts plays a prostitute, Richard Gere plays a millionaire. Ah, romance.
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
