One of the movies today won no less than ELEVEN Oscars.

From Captain Picard to Arnie on Mars. From boats ‘n’ hoes to great horror sequels. Sunday night movies are spoiling us with variety, that is for sure.

Here are what we reckon are the seven best on the TV tonight.

SUNDAY 21 OCTOBER

The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King – ITV2 –  6.10pm

The final part of the long walk. This time with extra ghosts.

Star Trek Generations – Syfy – 6.30pm

The one where Captain Kirk and Captain Picard meet, thanks to that guy from A Clockwork Orange. Even if you’re not a Star Trek fan, this is still a pretty fun movie.

Robocop – ITV4 – 9.00pm

Paul Verhoeven incredible original sci-fi before Hollywood made a lesser sequel, Part One.

Step Brothers – Comedy Central – 9.00pm

Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are two man-children who are used to being only-children until their parents marry and they’re suddenly forced into each other’s lives. Despite all the room for activities, there are still problems.

Scream 2 – W – 10.00pm

We think it is better than the original. This is why.

Total Recall – ITV4 – 11.10pm

Paul Verhoeven incredible original sci-fi before Hollywood made a lesser sequel, Part Two.

10 Rillington Place – BBC Two – 11.30pm

The film dramatises the case of British serial killer John Christie (Richard Attenborough), who committed many of his crimes in the titular London terraced house, and the miscarriage of justice involving his neighbour Timothy Evans (John Hurt). This 1971 thriller is the subject of a book titled The Best Film You’ve Never Seen, which should be enough to check it out.
