Some perfect accompaniments for all of your chocolate eating.

Easter is up there with Halloween and Christmas in terms of getting some great movies on the telly.

If you’re not up for sitting in this evening, then you might want to check this out, because we break down all of the new cinema releases here.

But if you want to stay in with your ever-lessening chocolate eggs, then there are some crackers to enjoy today:

SUNDAY 21 APRIL

The Secret Life Of Pets – ITV2 – E4 – 5.40pm

Yes, it is basically Toy Story, but with pets instead of toys, but is that such a bad thing? It made nearly $900 million at the box office, and there is a sequel out very soon, so we guess not.

Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time – 6.15pm

Arguably the best video game adaptation of all time. That does sound like damning with faint praise, with Jake Gyllenhaal and Gemma Arterton give it their all, and director Mike Newell (The Goblet Of Fire) directs the action with a good eye.

Jurassic Park – E4 – 7.20pm

This was Star Wars for an entire generation of cinema-goers, and the fact that it still stands tall as one of the best blockbusters of all time is no coincidence.

Austin Powers In Goldmember – Comedy Central – 9.00pm

The one with Beyonce. At this point, the series had gotten a little too big for its boots, with a budget almost equalling that of an actual Bond movie. Still, plenty of great laughs to be found throughout.

Me Before You – RTE Two – 9.00pm

A fantastic weepie rom-dram, with Queen Dany herself Emilia Clarke playing a ditzy assistant to a handsome, but depressed quadriplegic (Hunger Games’ Sam Claflin), and we watch their love blossom even as we know it probably won’t end to well.

Jason Bourne – RTE One – 9.30pm

Definitely the worst of the five Bourne movies (yep, it is worse even than that Jeremy Renner one), but it is almost entirely worth it for that BONKERS, OTT car chase through the busy Las Vegas strip.

Gone Girl – W – 10.00pm

Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike are the apparently perfect couple, until one day she goes missing, and he is the prime suspect in her murder. A twisted dark thriller from David Fincher that will have you side-eye’ing your significant other.

True Grit – FilmFour – 11.25pm

14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld hires old gunslinger Jeff Bridges to hunt down the man who killed her father (Josh Brolin). A tough, but very entertaining western from The Coen Brothers.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
