Amazon Prime Video has just quietly added 14 big movies to its library

On top of the brand new additions coming to Prime Video throughout February, the streaming service has also just added a brand new batch of big movies to their library this week.

So, in alphabetical order, we begin with…

DEAR JOHN

Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfriend are the loved-up couple in the middle of this rom-dram from the author of The Notebook.

MISS BALA

Gina Rodriguez and Anthony Mackie star in this action-thriller about a woman who trains to be become a killer in order to take down the Mexican drug cartel that has kidnapped her friend.

ROMEO + JULIET

Baz Luhrmann’s fantastic adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragic romance has Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes as star-crossed lovers, their relationship doomed as they are on separate sides of a violent gang war.

SEX AND THE CITY

And the show ended but before the reunion started, we got two Sex and the City movies. This is the better one.

SIGNS

The first of three M. Night Shyamalan movies on this list. This one sees Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix as brothers on an isolated farm who find themselves in the middle of an alien invasion.

SUNSHINE

Cillian Murphy, Rose Byrne, Chris Evans and Michelle Yeoh headline this brilliant sci-fi thriller about a group of scientists attempting to reignite the Sun itself before all life on Earth comes to an end.

SWEET HOME ALABAMA

Reese Witherspoon stars in this 2002 rom-com as a woman returning to her small home town after many years away, in an attempt to get her ex-husband (Josh Lucas) to finally sign their divorce papers, so she can move on her with life and marry her new beau (Patrick Dempsey).

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY

The legendary 90s rom-com sees Ben Stiller attempting to woo his high school crush, Cameron Diaz, many years after their disastrous prom date.

UNBREAKABLE

The second Shyamalan addition is a somewhat grounded take on the superhero genre, with Bruce Willis as a security guard who slowly comes to realise he might be gifted with extraordinary powers.

UNSTOPPABLE

Denzel Washington and Chris Pine are two train drivers who are attempting to stop a runaway train from crashing its dangerous cargo into a small town. Believe it or not, it is based on a true story!

THE VILLAGE

The third and final Shyamalan movie on this list is a period thriller about a village full of people who live in fear of the monsters who stalk the woods surrounding them.

WAR HORSE

Steven Spielberg’s epic adaptation of the much-loved stage play focuses on a boy (Jeremy Irvine) and his horse who find themselves attempting to survive WWI.

THE WATERBOY

Not to be confused with Happy Gilmore, this is Adam Sandler’s other comedy about a man who is secretly very good at a specific sport thanks to his untapped rage at the world.
