Annabelle 3 The Conjuring

The Warrens are coming back, too…

Tis the season to report on scary movie news.

Today – Friday 19 October – sees the hotly-anticipated Halloween sequel/reboot hit cinemas.

In celebration of this spooky time of year, Hollywood is green-lighting a whole new batch of horrors for the years ahead.

One such terrifying event will be the return of that creepy doll from the Conjuring universe, alongside the stars from those movies, giving us that glorious pop culture phenomenon; the crossover.

Deadline reports that Ed and Lorraine Warren will get involved in yet another supernatural altercation when they pitch up in the third Annabelle film.

Currently untitled, the latest in the haunted doll series follows 2017’s Annabelle: Creation and will be directed by Gary Dauberman, with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga set to reprise their famous roles.

Annabelle version 3.0 marks the sixth overall title in the Conjuring universe and finds the Warrens bringing Annabelle to their Artifacts Room, a place where she can no longer cause any trouble.

Right? Of course not.

Wouldn’t you know it, Annabelle goes and awakens the evil within the supposedly safe space, before targeting the Warrens’ 10-year-old daughter Judy.

No release date confirmed as of yet, but you can expect horrible chaos to ensue.

You can all but guarantee a huge box office, too, with the Conjuring universe having taken in a colossal $1.6 billion across the world to date.
