Aquaman 2 trailer is big, bonkers and full of explosions
We imagine a talking point from the trailer will be its lack of Amber Heard...
The first trailer for the sequel to the billion dollar grossing DC superhero flick Aquaman has hit the web.
Titled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the movie will see the return of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman (Jason Momoa) who has now been crowned the king of the underwater civilisation of Atlantis.
However, when the kingdom comes under threat from the villainous Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) - who is seeking vengeance against Curry - Aquaman must enlist the help of his half-brother and former enemy Orm (Patrick Wilson).
Back for the follow-up is director James Wan (also known for making Insidious, Saw and The Conjuring), as well as actors Amber Heard, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park and Temuera Morrison.

One of Heard's first roles since last year's widely-publicised defamation trial involving her and her former husband Johnny Depp, the actress appears only briefly in the teaser as Mera, Curry's love interest from the original.
In an interview published this week in Entertainment Weekly, Wan claims that Mera was always going to play less of a major role in the sequel.
"I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera's journey. The second movie was always going to be Arthur and Orm," the director said.
"So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie, the second one is a bromance action-adventure movie. We'll leave it at that."
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be out in cinemas in Ireland on 29 December. You can check out its trailer right here:
