This recent comment made by Marvel President puts to bed a big concern that fans have about Endgame

Avengers Endgame

Fans of the MCU had one big worry after seeing Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel has been an absolutely massive success, even by the ridiculously high standards set by some of Marvel’s biggest movies in the past.

The first female-led movie in the MCU raked in an astounding $455 million at the global box office in its first weekend alone, and has received positive reviews by the dozen.

But there was one issue that appeared to be created by the movie, and that was that Captain Marvel was going to be too strong, and it seemed like a bit of a cop out by the MCU.

People thought that following a build up of over 20 movies, having someone come in at the last minute to save the day would be a bit meh.

But luckily, these recent comments by Marvel President Kevin Feige appear to put these fears to bed.

According to comicbook.com, the upcoming Avengers movie is going to focus on the original characters, more so than any new ones.

He said: “People would point out that that Cap wasn’t in Infinity War a whole lot. And Iron Man didn’t really speak for that last half hour because of what was going on. But those characters and all of the original six are very much the focus of Endgame in a very personal and emotional way.”

Sounds good to us.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in Irish cinemas on Thursday 25 April.
