Twelve Monkeys - 11.30pm on SyFy
Really underrated sci-fi with Brad Pitt and Bruce Willis. In a future world devastated by disease, a convict is sent back in time to gather information about the man-made virus that wiped out most of the human population on the planet.

Postcards from the Edge - 11.50pm on RTÉ1
Carrie Fisher wrote the novel and screenplay for this one which sees a substance-addicted actress tries to look on the bright side even as she is forced to move back in with her mother to avoid unemployment.
Meryl Streep, Shirley MacLaine, Dennis Quaid, Gene Hackman, Richard Dreyfuss, and Rob Reiner all star. You can't go wrong with that cast.
