Grab the popcorn.
After a glorious few days, the weather has taken a slight turn for the worse, increasing the chances of us being stuck inside looking for ways to amuse ourselves this evening.
If watching a movie is how you like to unwind, then here’s a fairly limited but decent selection of your options on this Wednesday evening.
Enough Said – Film4, 7.10pm
Two great leads – James Gandolfini and Julia Louis-Dreyfus – put in two great performances in a charming and excellent romantic comedy, released shortly after Gandolfini’s death in 2013.
The Game – Sky Atlantic, 9pm
Sandwiched in between Se7en (1995) and Fight Club (1999), this David Fincher movie isn’t as good as either of those, but a good cast and plenty of mystery in the plot should keep you interested.
The Bank Job – Film4 – 9pm
Jason Statham movies don’t come much more Jason Statham-y than this.
Incident in a Ghostland – SyFy – 10pm
Fairly standard horror about an inherited house where spooky events take place. If you need your fix of scares, it will tick a box.
Death Wish V: The Face of Death – ITV4, 11pm
How many death wishes does a man need?
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
