It is Friday.

Congratulations! You’ve made it to the end of the week. And hopefully, given the Bank Holiday Monday, you will also be getting some extra time to unwind.

Why not let the stresses of the week fade and kick off the long weekend by taking in one of the fine films airing on TV tonight.

Here’s our guide to what’s on offer this evening.

Moonraker – 8pm – ITV 4

The 11th in the James Bond series and the fourth to star Roger Moore as 007, the film is notable for taking the iconic spy into space.

The Last Stand – 9pm – Virgin Media One

Noteworthy for being Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first lead acting role since Terminator 3, this action-thriller focuses on a tough small-town sheriff who must stop a dangerous drug lord from escaping to Mexico in a modified sports car.

Also starring Forest Whitaker and Johnny Knoxville, it’s surprisingly good and easily the best of Arnie’s movies since he returned to acting.

The Inbetweeners Movie – 9pm – E4

Socially troubled teenagers Jay, Neil, Simon and Will go on holiday to Crete in this big-screen spin-off of the popular sitcom.

Sadly, watching this may be the closest viewers get to holidaying in Greece anytime soon.

Total Recall – 9pm – Film Four

Colin Farrell stars in this so-so remake of Paul Verhoeven’s sci-fi classic.

Sisters – 9.35pm – RTÉ Two

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey star as, you guessed it, sisters. The pair decide to throw one last house party before their parents sell their family home.

Ride Along 2 – 11.05pm – Channel 4

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube return as a bickering odd couple in this sequel to buddy-cop action-comedy Ride Along.

Wall Street – 11.25pm – RTÉ One

Oliver Stone’s iconic drama stars Charlie Sheen as a young stockbroker who becomes involved with Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas), a wealthy and unscrupulous corporate raider.

Acclaimed upon release, it gave us the popular quote: “Greed is good”.

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
