Daniel Craig’s first time out as 007, regarded by many as one of the best films in the franchise. Darker than what came before it, and worth a watch.
Anger Management – Comedy Central – 9pm
This has been on plenty of times since lockdown began but hey, maybe you have seen. Adam Sandler having a laugh with Jack Nicholson.
War of the Worlds – TG4 – 9pm
Tom Cruise plays the action hero in an adaptation of the HG Wells alien invasion story.
Murder on the Orient Express – RTÉ One – 9.30pm
Detective Hercule Poirot, a famous creation of Agatha Christie, has to solve a murder on a moving train. The latest remake of the famous tale, starring Kenneth Brannagh, and a terrible rendition of Poirot’s famous moustache.
Born on the Fourth of July – Sky Atlantic – 11.15pm
Oliver Stone’s fact-based drama chronicles the life of Ron Kovic, an eager-to-impress, patriotic Marine Corps recruit, who endures terrifying experiences during the Vietnam conflict that leave him paralysed from the chest down. On his return home, he undergoes a harrowing journey of physical and mental recovery that leads him to question the whole purpose of the war. Starring Tom Cruise, Willem Dafoe, Kyra Sedgwick and Josh Evans.
