Here are the best movies on TV this evening
It's the middle of the week.
And that means, starting tomorrow, we're heading for the end of the week! In order to ease yourself into that transition, why not enjoy one of the movies on TV tonight. Here are some of the best:
Les Miserables - Sky Atlantic - 9pm
It would have been very easy for them to screw up the onscreen adaptation of one of the finest musicals ever made, but they actually did a really good job. A story of revolution, poverty and crime, told via banger after banger. Starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Eddie Redmayne and Amanda Seyfried.
The Prince - Horror Channel - 9pm
A retired hitman discovers his daughter has been kidnapped and heads to New Orleans in search of her. He discovers one of the most powerful figures in the city's underworld is a man whose family he killed, and faces a battle for survival against the vengeful mobster's chief assassin. Starring Jason Patric and Bruce Willis.
Ali G Indahouse - Sky Comedy - 9pm
Sacha Baron Cohen's first major foray into feature-length films. This was a vehicle for his iconic Ali G character, and sees him somehow end up at the centre of UK political scheming. Very funny.
Blade: Trinity - ITV4 - 11pm
Not actually about Trinity College, but about Wesley Snipes killing vampires.
Cobain: Montage of Heck - Sky Documentaries - 23.10
An in-depth documentary into the personal history of legendary rock star Kurt Cobain, using archival footage provided by the family, and recreating scenes from his life through animation. Must-watch for any Nirvana fan.
