Movies on TV

It’s Tuesday.

Ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got over day one of the working week and we’re now sitting soundly in Tuesday.

While there may be a weather warning on the way for a number of counties across Ireland, there’s still some movies on the TV to keep you occupied while you shelter from the rain.

Although to be frank, it’s a distinctly mixed bag.

Let’s take a look at what’s on TV later…

Risen – Film4 – 6.50pm

A look at the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus, but from a fresh vantage point.

The Inbetweeners 2 – E4 – 9pm

Definitely not as good as the first movie, but there’s still some laughs to be had if you’re in the mood for some immature fun tonight.

Cop Land – ITV4 – 9pm

Sylvester Stallone, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro navigate the corrupt cop landscape in James Mangold’s gritty thriller.

War for the Planet of the Apes – Film4 – 9pm

Some critics described this movie as an “improbably magnificent film”, and they’re correct.

Panic Room – Sony Movies – 9pm

Jodie Foster and her daughter Kristen Stewart discover that a group of violent burglars have broken into their home.

Don’t worry though, they’ve got a panic room. DING DING DING, “Hey that’s the name of the movie!”

However, they soon discover the burglars will do whatever it takes to get to them.

Arctic Apocalypse – SyFy – 11pm

I have not seen this one, but a lowly 2.1 rating on IMDB means that this movie is only worth your time if… no, it’s not worth your time.
