Movies on TV

It’s Friday.

It’s Friday then, then Saturday Sunday what?

It’s the last day of the working week – for some of you at least – and we’re all looking forward to settling down and watching some movies this evening.

That is, if you’re not tuning into the The Late Late Show later.

Here’s the pick of the movies on TV this evening.

The Green Mile – Virgin Media One – 9pm

So good but so damn sad.

X-Men: Days of Future Past – E4 – 9pm

One of the best entries into the X-Men franchise.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part II – Channel 4 – 9pm

Jennifer Lawrence is very good in the last film of the series.

The Hangover Part II – ITV2 – 9pm

Like the first one, just not in Las Vegas.

Licence To Kill – ITV4 – 9pm

An underrated entry into the James Bond franchise. We want justice for Timothy Dalton.

Transporter 3 – Film4 – 9pm

The weakest of the Transporter trilogy by some distance but it’s Jason Statham so it did alright.

The Full Monty – RTÉ2 – 9.35pm

Hit comedy about a bunch of former steelworkers in Sheffield who band together for a naked extravaganza.

In The Name Of The Father – RTÉ One – 11.35pm

“I’m going out the front door with Gerry.”

LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
