It’s Monday.
Weather warnings are in place for the entire country and there’s likely more restrictions on the way later this evening.
It can all be a bit much so if you fancy a phone-free evening, here’s a list of the best movies on TV later that you can immerse yourself in.
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York – Film4 – 6.40pm
Why is there a Christmas movie on in October?
Hulk – Sky One – 9pm
The Eric Bana one. We’re still waiting for a half decent Hulk movie to be made. Thor Ragnarok was the closest we’ve come.
Shaun of the Dead – ITV4 – 9pm
The first film in Richard Wright’s Cornetto trilogy, and arguably the funniest.
Highly appropriate for the apocalyptic times we live in.
Fences – Film4 – 9pm
Viola Davis and Denzel Washington are excellent in this slow-burning drama.
Bruce Almighty – Comedy Central – 10pm
Morgan Freeman plays God in the role he was born to play and Jim Carrey finds out that having his power is not that easy.
Double Jeopardy – TG4 – 10.05pm
So double jeopardy means that you cannot be charged with the same crime twice.
Ashley Judd is wrongly jailed for her husband’s murder, so she sets out to find the truth… and possibly revenge.
All a bit meh.
Hellboy 2: The Golden Army – ITV4 – 11.05pm
A comic book movie worth checking out, even if you haven’t seen the first one.
2 Guns – Film 4 – 11.45pm
A lot of action with Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg.
LISTEN: You Must Be Jokin’ with Aideen McQueen – Faith healers, Coolock craic and Gigging as Gaeilge
