Movies on TV

For anyone that’s settling in on the couch.

We have it on good authority that Prince Harry and Meghan are stepping back from the Royal Family to watch more movies and listen to ‘Come Out Ye Black and Tans’ on repeat.

We have absolutely no idea if this is true but, you know, that’s what’s on everyone’s mind at the minute.

If only there was some form of popular entertainment to provide a distraction. Oh wait…

Get Out – 9pm on Film4

Daniel Kaluuya’s character Chris has the worst would-be in-laws in the world. Clever, critically-adored, and well worth watching.

Anger Management – 9pm on Comedy Central

Adam Sandler plats a businessman who is wrongly sentenced to an anger management program, where he meets an aggressive instructor. Almost worth it for John McEnroe’s cameo alone. It’s grand.

Passenger 57 – 9pm ITV4

An airline security expert must take action when he finds himself trapped on a passenger jet when terrorists seize control of it. A ’90s film in every sense of the word.

Rush Hour 2 – 10:50 on ITV4

The second one.

St Vincent – 11:10pm on Film4

A young boy whose parents have just divorced finds an unlikely friend and mentor in the misanthropic, bawdy, hedonistic war veteran who lives next door.

One of Bill Murray’s best performances in a while and Melissa McCarthy is very good too. You’ll like it, but you probably won’t remember much of it.
