Some good stuff to sink your teeth into here, including one of the best movies of all time.

It’s absolutely freezing outside, so we definitely understand if you’re planning on staying in tonight.

The lineups for both The Late Late Show and The Graham Norton Show are good, but if they’re not your cup of tea, there’s some very good movies on the box to watch instead.

Here are the six best movies on television tonight, 23 November:

The Shawshank Redemption – Virgin Media One – 10.05pm

What can we say about this movie that hasn’t been said before? It’s one of the best movies of all time. Simple as. The story of Andy Dufresne is probably one that you’ve seen before, and definitely one that you should be happy to see again.

The Inbetweeners 2 – E4 – 9pm

Don’t let anyone tell you this movie isn’t absolutely hilarious. Maybe it’s not as good as the first one, but if you watch this you’re guaranteed a laugh. Don’t be a bus wanker, tune in.

Deja Vu – SyFy – 9pm

Denzel Washington doing what he does best – travelling back in time to try and stop a terrorist attack.

Okay, maybe he has never done that before, but still, it’s an exciting movie.

David Brent – Life On The Road – Virgin Media Two – 12.05am

If you’re still up after midnight, Ricky Gervais and company take up their roles as the cast of The Office one last time, with inevitably hilarious consequences.

Men In Black 3 – Film Four – 6.45pm

Maybe it’s not the best film in the franchise, but it’s a decent movie nonetheless. Will Smith is always worth watching…

Invictus – UTV – 11.20pm

Yet another brilliant Morgan Freeman performance, Invictus follows the story of Nelson Mandela following his release from prison, while simultaneously looking at the South African rugby team of that time. The rugby scenes are a bit dodgy at times, but it’s worth a watch nonetheless.
