From the director of The Descent and Dog Soldiers, this is a very underrated movie.

Set in ancient Scotland, the story follows a small group of Roman soldiers who are the sole survivors of a brutal slaughter committed by their enemies: the Picts.

"The Roman survivors try desperately to reach safety, as the indigenous warriors pick them off one by one," the plot synopsis adds.

Boasting a unique historical setting, hard-hitting action scenes from cult director Neil Marshall (The Descent, Dog Soldiers, Doomsday), and a fine cast (also including David Morrisey, Dominic West, Imogen Poots, Liam Cunningham, Olga Kurylenko, and Riz Ahmed), we believe Centurion deserves more than its 59% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Centurion is airing on TV tonight on the channel Legend at 11.10pm. It's also available to rent on Prime Video and the Sky Store.
