It’s all getting a bit tense.
Last month, we got the first look at season two of Big Little Lies as the hit HBO show gets set to return.
The teaser presented what looks like a fairly difficult and tension-filled time for the ‘Monterey Five’ as all kinds of walls begin to close in.
One such barrier will take the form of the legendary Meryl Streep.
She’s playing Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Celeste’s (Nicole Kidman) deceased husband Perry (Alexander Skarsgård, who will reprise the role in some capacity), and she’s asking some tough questions.
Released on Friday, the new trailer doubles down on Streep’s threatening presence, and you can expect her performance to dominate this new season.
Big Little Lies returns on 9 June.
