Breaking Bad star to head up project about the life of Jack Daniels

Rory Cashin

We’re all aware with his product, but did you know the man behind it lived a VERY interesting life?

Based on the biography by Peter Krass, Blood and Whiskey: The Life and Times of Jack Daniel goes into intimate detail on the very troubled life of Jack Daniels, before he become synonymous with those square bottles of whiskey that are now sold around the world.

Having endured the Civil War, Daniels went from illegal bootlegger and teenage moonshiner to the build one of the biggest whiskey empires in history, and is a story ripe for the telling.

Obviously this is something Aaron Paul agrees with, as he’s joined in with a number of other producers to adapt the project for TV.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script will come from one of the writers of Mad Men, and with all that pedigree behind it, you can fully expect this to be the big must-watch show once it airs.
