“Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Call Me By Your Name.

Plot’s it all about?

100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

98% on Metacritic.

These kind of scores don’t happen every day, and of the back of the worldwide festival circuit it is currently wrapping up, pretty much everyone who has seen Call Me By Your Name is saying that it is the movie to beat at the 2018 Oscars.

Set in 1983 Northern Italy, it tells the story of an Italian student (Chalamet) who makes fast friends with an American (Hammer) who comes to live with him and his family for the summer.

They enjoy the food, the wine, the women, the scenery, but it isn’t long before both of the men recognise feelings for each other beyond merely friendship.

Written by James Ivory (of the legendary Merchant Ivory), his first screenplay in over 14 years, and directed by Oscar-fav Guadagnino, remember this trailer, and remember this movie, because it is the one that everyone is going to be talking about in a few months.

Starring: Armie Hammer, Timothee Chalamet, Michael Stuhlberg.

Directed by: Luca Guadagnino (I Am Love, A Bigger Splash)

Irish release date: 27 October

Enjoy!
