Tom Hardy has played some pretty intimidating characters in his movies from Bane in The Dark Knight Rises to Tommy Riordan/Conlon in the MMA movie, Warrior.
But it seems Hardy is not just badass in his movies, he’s the same in real life.
The actor went into superhero mode when he reportedly chased down a thief near his home in London and made a citizen’s arrest.
Hardy was seen chasing a man who had allegedly stolen a moped and crashed it near Richmond, in south-west London.
“It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie,” Arun Pullen, 22, told The Sun.
“Two boys on the nicked moped had jumped a red light and smashed into a car.
“Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious. If the kid had been dumb enough to resist I reckon Tom would have given him a good hiding.”
Once Hardy caught the alleged thief near a bus stop, he reportedly checked him for weapons and said: “I caught the c***.”
Pullen, who lives near the actor, said Hardy’s “clearly not a man you’d mess with.”
“I think he even checked the kid’s ID before cops took over,” he added.
A spokesman for the Hollywood star declined to comment on the incident, the newspaper said.
