Disney+ expands its line-up with Channel 4 hits

A selection of Channel 4's most popular programmes will become available on Disney+ in Ireland and the UK next year, giving subscribers another way to access the broadcaster's content without an additional fee.

The partnership, announced on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, is due to launch in early 2027.

It will include Channel 4's main television channel in HD, as well as a separate on-demand collection within the streaming app.

Viewers will also be able to watch new programmes on Disney+ on the same day they are broadcast on Channel 4.

Celebrity SAS and 24 Hours In A&E join Disney+ line-up

Among the titles expected to feature are Bella Ramsey's drama Maya, Denise Welch's comedy Stepping Up and reality show Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The selection will also draw on Channel 4's existing library, with Big Mood, Tip Toe and 24 Hours In A&E included.

The shows will be organised under a dedicated Channel 4 section, allowing Disney+ users to browse the broadcaster's offering alongside the platform's other content.

Channel 4 chief executive Priya Dogra welcomed the agreement, saying it would give audiences more opportunities to discover the broadcaster's programming.

"Channel 4 is home to some of the UK and Ireland’s most talked about and trusted programming, and this new service will help those shows reach viewers in new places.

"This exciting step shows how collaboration between broadcasters and streamers can create more choice and value for audiences.”

Disney Entertainment's chairman for direct-to-consumer, Adam Smith, said working with local broadcasters was an important part of Disney+'s global approach, helping it offer content with strong local appeal to audiences in different markets.
