“What’s the last thing you remember?”

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Cellar Door.

Plot’s It All About? 2019 looks like it will be a great year for Irish horror. In January alone, zombie epic The Cured being added to Netflix and guaranteeing a wider audience, and the upcoming Seana Kerslake-starring The Hole In The Ground will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

Before that though, we’ve got our first look at Cellar Door, which seems to be somewhere in the middle ground between The Magdalene Sisters and Jacob’s Ladder, and it also won the Best First Irish Feature at last year’s Galway Film Fleadh.

The official synopsis is as follows:

Cellar Door tells the story of young lover Aidie (Karan Hassan) as she searches for her son while in the grip of the Church. But as she gets closer to the truth, she suffers uncontrollable shifts in time and place that send her spiralling.

Starring: Karen Hassan, Catherine Walker, and Una Carroll.

Directed by: Viko Nikci

Release date: 25 January 2019

Enjoy!
