Charlie Cox would be up for playing Daredevil again

Daredevil

We’d love to see the show return.

During the course of the three seasons of Daredevil on Netflix, we’ve seen Matt Murdock go up against the likes of Kingpin, Elektra, The Punisher and The Hand but ultimately, ‘The Man Without Fear’ has come up short after the recent sad news that the brilliant show was cancelled.

We’re massive fans of the third Season because the show really found its verve with some fantastic action, fights, and performances.

Ever since the very first episode, Charlie Cox’s performance as Matt Murdock really captured what made the comic books so beloved. Complex, dark, and battling with issues like guilt, trauma, and faith, Daredevil balanced kinetic action set pieces with a gripping plot.

Aside from fights like *those* hallway/prison long scenes, and the scintillating Daredevil vs Bullseye office smackdown, the story of Fisk’s rise and the travails of Nelson, Murdock, and Page were excellent too.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Charlie Cox spoke about the show’s cancellation and the possibility of him playing Daredevil again.

“I felt like we had a lot of stories to tell, and although I understand [the cancellation], I’m very saddened by that,” he said.

Regarding a possible return to the role, Cox was very positive and said: “Oh my God, yeah. I don’t know how this would happen, but maybe one day we could pick up the baton and do it again.”

With Disney set to launch their own streaming service to rival Netflix, here’s hoping that ‘The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen’ makes a resurrection.
