Video: Check out the first action-packed trailer for Keanu Reeves’ new samurai film, 47 Ronin

JOE brings you the latest trailers in association with the good folk over at Magnet.
Keanu ‘woah man’ Reeves stars in the crackin’ first trailer for 47 Ronin as Neo Kai, an outcast who joins a group of Ronin (leaderless samurai) to help them avenge the death and dishonour of their Master.
It's nuts to think that 47 lads called Ronin would all hang around together in the first place. Although Universal are releasing this as a fantasy action film, the actual story of the Revenge of the 47 Ronin is really based on an 18th Century Japanese true tale, so JOE reckons that the cool bits with the giants and witches might just be made up. Even from this first clip it’s clear to see so many of the influences that have gone into the making of the film, with particular moments and visuals from Lord of the Rings, Star Wars and The Matrix all immediately springing to mind - in fact, Lord of the Matrix Wars was an original working title. Maybe not. And, now that we think of it, there's plenty of 300 is in there too actually. Except, minus 253 of course...
