Here at JOE we’ve covered a load of the previous Pacific Rim trailers before and, like us, you may be thinking enough is enough but seriously, this newest one from director Guillermo del Toro is an absolute belter.
The latest trailer takes a different approach from the bombastic, noisy action of the previously released clips as shots of carnage are now accompanied by only the claustrophobic breathing of a Jaeger pilot and Marshal Stacker Pentecost’s (Idris Elba) inspirational words – “today we are cancelling the Apocalypse.”
Plus we think there’s a shot of our crappy old Ford Ka about to get trashed by a gargantuan alien creature from the deep. Yay!
Most importantly though, there’s still lots of footage of giant robots fighting giant aliens so sit back and enjoy:
Pacific Rim is released in Irish cinemas on 12 July.
