Why CMAT cancelled the Paris show

The cancellation was confirmed by RTÉ Entertainment.

In a post on Instagram on Friday morning, the Meath-born singer said she has gastroenteritis and had been unable to travel.

"I am very sorry to say we are no longer able to play our show at Rock en Seine today," she wrote.

"I have gastroenteritis and was due to travel yesterday, but was not able, and I have not fully recovered to travel today."

"Last night's flight into Paris carrying most of our band, crew and gear was cancelled due to a thunderstorm so unfortunately due to this double dose it's not possible to play today," she added.

"I am really sorry for anyone who was coming to see us."

What it means for Stradbally

She is still down to play Electric Picnic on Saturday night, taking the stage before Gorillaz.

It would be her first Irish show since she headlined St Anne's Park in Dublin last May, a gig she revisited this week with EURO-COUNTRY (Live at St Anne's), a four-track EP out today on streaming and on a limited run of 500 green vinyl copies, alongside the full two-hour concert on her YouTube channel.

Roughly 80,000 people are expected in Stradbally this weekend, where Sombr, Van Morrison and Fontaines D.C. also play.
