A new trailer has been released for Crime 101, the crime thriller featuring Irish Oscar-nominee Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin, Saltburn).
Based on a novella by acclaimed crime author Don Winslow (The Power of the Dog, Savages), the movie is set in Los Angeles. It revolves around an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth, Bad Times at the El Royale) whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police.
When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Oscar-winner Halle Berry, Monster's Ball) who is facing her own crossroads.
Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo, The Favourite) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher.
"As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices–and the realisation that there can be no turning back," the plot synopsis adds.

Keoghan, meanwhile, plays a younger thief in the film, which reunites him with writer-director Bart Layton. The pair previously made another heist movie together, 2018's excellent but underseen American Animals.
Also part of the cast for Crime 101 is Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton), Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight), Monica Barbaro (A Complete Unknown) and Nick Nolte (Warrior).
Winslow's initial novella has earned comparisons to the seminal heist film Heat, on account of its LA setting and its plot focusing on the cat-and-mouse games between a thief who abides by a strict code and the dogged detective on his tail.
Crime 101 is out in cinemas on 13 February. Check out its new trailer below:
