The king returns this April.

The Super Bowl may have featured trailers for Toy Story 4 and Avengers: Endgame but let’s be honest, what do you really want to watch when you’re hungover on the couch?

Well, how about a new nature series from the king of nature documentaries?

As you may know, the beloved broadcaster has been working with Netflix on the upcoming Our Planet series as viewers embark upon an unprecedented journey through some of the world’s most precious natural habitats, narrated by his dulcet tones.

We’re told that “the ambitious four-year project has been filmed in 50 countries across all the continents of the world, with over 600 members of crew capturing more than three and a half thousand filming days, and will focus on the breadth of the diversity of habitats around the world, from the remote Arctic wilderness and mysterious deep oceans to the vast landscapes of Africa and diverse jungles of South America”.

If this trailer isn’t enough happiness to start your week, you’ll be pleased to know that Attenborough has also announced plans to make a new series with the BBC, which will also air later this year.

As for Our Planet, the eight-part documentary series will be released on Netflix on 5 April, 2019 and you can see the latest short trailer below.

Stunning, just stunning.
