Our TV movie pick for tonight (Sunday, 2 November) is Daylight Robbery, the 2008 crime thriller.
Starring Geoff Bell, Vas Blackwood and Robert Boulter, the film follows a group of London lads who cook up a bold plan to rob a bank during the 2006 World Cup.
Hoping to use England’s match as the perfect distraction aiding them in sneaking cash out of Heathrow under the guise of heading to Germany to watch the football.
What could possibly go wrong? Well actually, quite a lot.
It all begans as a slick, well-timed robbery before spiralling into chaos when one of the crew is injured and tensions rise inside the vault.
With the police circling and trust breaking down, the film builds into a tense standoff as much about loyalty as it is about loot.
Directed by Paris Leonti, Daylight Robbery is a classic mid-2000s British crime-thriller feel with sweat, swagger and dodgy geezers trying to pull off a big score.
While it didn’t have huge box office success on release, the film has since grown a bit of a cult following, and for good reason.
So, if you fancy something tense with just the right amount of ridiculous on this Sunday evening, this is the flick for you.

Netflix has added one of the best Western shows of the decade
A stand-alone spin-off, many say the series is better than the original. Netflix has added 1883, the brilliant Western drama from Landman and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan. A standalone prequel to Yellowstone, the show is set in the title year and stars Oscar-nominee Sam Elliot (The Big Lebowski) in an effortlessly commanding lead turn. He plays […]
