Dennis is definitely coming back to It’s Always Sunny, co-star reveals

Michael Lanigan

The Golden God can never really leave.

Since the finale of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s 12th season, fans have been sitting in limbo, worrying over whether or not Dennis Reynolds would be returning to the show.

Departing on a fairly sudden note, by announcing that he wanted to spend more time with his child, the gang were left in shock, as were most of the viewers.

Everyone was unsure if actor Glenn Howerton was in fact going to ever appear on the hit comedy series again. Co-star Charlie Day said he didn’t want the show to go on without Dennis, and then Howerton emphasised that he had not yet officially departed.

Then, during his interview with GQ in March, Howerton essentially confirmed that it was over and Paddy’s Pub would be going ahead without it’s most beloved psychopath.

Now however, in an interview with The Wrap, Kaitlin Olson, who plays Sweet Dee has shed a bit more light on the situation by saying: “I do know that Glenn Howerton is coming back for some episodes.”

“I don’t know the specifics,” she emphasised, “but I do know how he’s being introduced back in, and it is absolutely hilarious.”

Howerton has been off recently, starring in a new comedy series called A.P. Bio, but it seems as if the Golden God might not be gone just yet.
