Denzel Washington and Michael B. Jordan are teaming up for a new film

Paul Moore

Denzel Washington

The two coolest men on the planet.

Denzel Washington is god. We’ve already established that here and here.

Seriously, is anyone prepared to argue the fact that Denzel Washington is not a god among men? We guarantee (said in best Denzel voice) that we’ll win that discussion.

In terms of potential contenders for the title of coolest man alive, some people might argue that Michael B. Jordan is a worthy successor for the two-time Oscar winner.

Aside from the fact that he absolutely killed it in the likes of Friday Night Lights, Creed, The Wire, Black Panther, and Chronicle, Jordan is also an incredibly charming man that has used his burgeoning star power for good – he was one of the first actors to insist on an inclusion rider in all of his films.

Aside from this, he’s just really chilled.

Well, he’s now in talks to star in Sony’s Journal for Jordan, a drama that’s set to be directed by Denzel Washington, as reported by Variety.

The film, written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter Virgil Williams, is based on the true story of Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Dana Canedy’s love affair with First Sergeant Charles Monroe King.

King kept a journal full of poignant life lessons for their newborn son, Jordan, while deployed overseas. He was killed in Iraq in 2006 when Jordan was just seven months old, but his spirit lives on in his messages of love to Dana and Jordan.

To be honest, those two men could make a film about someone reading the phonebook and we would still watch it.
