We miss Derry Girls, and we’re not one bit ashamed to admit it.
It seems as though it has been an eternity since the gals were last on our TV screens, and they are well and truly missed.
But we’ve got some good news for all the Derry Girls fans out there, and if you just so happen to be a fan of The Great British Bake Off as well? Then it is well and truly your lucky day.
On New Year’s Day, Channel 4 will be playing host to Saoirse-Monica Jackson (Erin), Nicola Coughlan (Clare), Jamie-Lee O’Donnell (Michelle), Dylan Llewellyn (James) and Siobhan McSweeney (Sister Michael) in Great British Bake Off’s festive tent.
Baking up some “New Year’s inspired bakes”, the cast of Derry Girls will be competing for the title of Star Baker, and our money is on Sister Michael.

The time for the special has not yet been released, but we do know that it’s going down on New Year’s Day.
