She is perfect for the role.
Derry Girls actress Siobhán McSweeney is set to host The Traitors Ireland.
The Irish star is set to host the Irish version of the smash hit game show on RTÉ in 2025.
Speaking about the new role, the actress said: “Like everyone, I am a huge Traitors fan so when I was asked to host the Irish version I jumped at the chance.
“I’m looking forward to meeting our loyal Faithful and delicious Traitors. The Irish have a charm and ability to deceive while smiling which will make this version rather special, I think.”
“And I’m the luckiest person in the world to watch them close up.”
The Traitors Ireland will see 22 contestants from across Ireland take on the ultimate test of trust and betrayal.
RTÉ’s Director of Video, Steve Carson said Siobhán McSweeney will bring something special to the Irish series.
“Siobhán is an incredibly talented actor with a great comic and dramatic range. We know that she is going to bring something really special to Ireland’s version of this fantastic game of trust and deceit.”
Contestants will have to take on a castle-based game of strategy, trust, and betrayal while trying to eliminate the Traitors.
Those who make it to the final have the chance of winning €50,000 but will walk away with nothing if a Traitor remains amongst them.
The Traitors Ireland will air on RTÉ and the RTÉ Player in 2025.
We cannot wait to tune in.
