The film will star Ezra Miller, who has played the title character in Suicide Squad, Batman vs Superman and both cuts of Justice League already.

According to Variety, Jackson is now set to appear in the film too, which will also feature both Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton returning to the role of Batman.

Ron Livingston will play The Flash's father, meanwhile, replacing actor Billy Crudup who played the part in Justice League.

While plot details are being kept underwraps, the presence of two versions of the Dark Knight suggests some parallel dimension crossing adventures.

Directed by Andy Muschietti, who helmed the recent adaptations of Stephen King's It, The Flash is scheduled for release in Ireland on 4 November, 2022
