The Madison, a new and star-studded neo-Western show from creator Taylor Sheridan (1883, Wind River, Yellowstone), is available to stream at home now.
Accessible through Paramount+, the series follows the Clyburn family (led by Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer), who relocate to Montana after a major life-changing tragedy.
Described as the prolific Sheridan’s most intimate work to date, the story unfolds across two distinct worlds, "the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan, as it examines the ties that bind families together".
In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, The Madison stars Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Matthew Fox (Lost), Patrick J. Adams (Suits) and Will Arnett (Is This Thing On?).
Already renewed for a second batch of episodes, the six-part first season has earned solid reviews for the most part, a sample of which you can read below:
The AU Review: "Anchored by extraordinary performances – particularly Pfeiffer’s towering turn (if she isn’t a staple across the Emmy season, we riot) – the show becomes a meditation on family, grief and reinvention."
Collider: "The Madison may have a cowboy or two and take place in Montana, but it's Sheridan's biggest step out of his comfort zone yet."
FandomWire: "Pfeiffer is extraordinary in the role, who anchors moments with emotional truth that is both powerful and deeply moving."
RogerEbert.com: "It’s rock-solid, gripping television with multi-generational appeal."
ScreenAnarchy: "As with Taylor Sheridan's previous shows, The Madison is bolstered by an impeccably impressive cast. It feels like a story shared with good friends over a burning campfire in the wide open countryside on a warm night."
The first three episodes of The Madison are streaming on Paramount+ now. The final three episodes will premiere the following week on Saturday, 21 March.
