From the director of The Grey and Narc, the film is a true undiscovered gem.

Similar in story to the likes of Groundhog Day and Edge of Tomorrow, Frank Grillo (Copshop, Peacemaker) stars as a former special forces agent named Roy Pulver, who becomes trapped in a time loop that repeats the day of his murder.

After 140 days of this loop, Pulver has become more adept at dodging the eclectic gang of killers dispatched to take him out.

This is as he tries to uncover clues about a secret government project that could unlock the mystery behind his death and why he is experiencing such bizarre phenomena.

"In a race against the clock, Pulver must hunt down Colonel Ventor (Mel Gibson, The Patriot), the powerful head of the government program, while outrunning skilled, ruthless assassins determined to keep him from the truth," the plot synopsis adds.

"This is so that he can break out of the loop, save his family and live once again for tomorrow."

Boss Level's star-studded cast also includes Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders), Ken Jeong (The Hangover), Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once) and Naomi Watts (Mulholland Drive).

The movie's brilliantly bonkers action sequences, clever video game-inspired story, and likeable lead turn from Grillo make it well worth seeking out for genre fans.

Boss Level is airing on TV tonight/tomorrow morning on Film4 at 12.55am. It's also available to rent on Apple TV, Rakuten TV and the Sky Store.
