The film marks Colin Farrell and Guy Ritchie's only collaboration.

The film follows Mickey Pearson (Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey), an American expatriate who became rich building a highly profitable marijuana empire in London. When word gets out that he's looking to cash out of the business, it triggers an array of plots and schemes from shady characters who want to steal his domain.

Other players WHO get wrapped up in the ensuing chaos include Pearson's loyal right-hand man (Charlie Hunnam), a sleazy private detective (Hugh Grant), an American billionaire (Jeremy Strong), and a beleaguered gym trainer (Ireland's own Colin Farrell, The Lobster).

A return to Ritchie's British crime comedy roots, after his breakthrough movies Lock, Stock and Snatch, The Gentlemen has a ton of style and several scene-stealing supporting performances. Farrell and Grant, in particular, are having a ball.

The film was such a hit in cinemas that Netflix greenlit a spin-off of the same name that has since run for two seasons.

The movie version of The Gentlemen is airing on TV tonight on ITV4 at 10pm. It's also available to rent on Apple TV, Rakuten TV, and the Sky Store.
