To uncover her targets’ hidden assets and pressure them into repayment, she relies on the extralegal talents of partners Bronco and Sid (Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill), her trusted clandestine operatives.
When a ruthless despot steals a billion-dollar fortune, killing Rachel's mentor in the process, the team is sent to steal it back "on what would be, for anyone else, a suicide mission".
"What begins as an impossible heist gets much worse, spiralling into an all-out war of strategy, deception and survival," the plot synopsis adds.
In the Grey also features Irish actor Emmett J. Scanlan (Kin), alongside Fisher Stevens (Succession), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), and Rosamund Pike (Saltburn).
Holding a 52% critics' score but an 82% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has earned praise for its action and Ritchie's trademark style. In fact, several reviewers questioned why it skipped cinemas in the UK and Ireland.
That said, others criticised the movie's characters as "flat" and found its story derivative of earlier works of the director.

| Movie Title | In the Grey |
| Where to Watch | Prime Video now |
| Cast | Eiza González, Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal |
| Length | 96 minutes |
| Publication | Quote |
| The Bulwark | "Ritchie has always been a somewhat vibes-based director. … This is a movie of very carefully popped collars and rolled sleeves, of impeccable layering for combat in any clime." |
| Decider | "Seriously, that final half-hour is a beast." |
| The Guardian | "One of the season’s more pleasurable pieces of pulp. I fear for the day Ritchie will stop getting funding for his zippy and sleek yet commercially mishandled and criminally underseen larks." |
| One Heat Minute | "There are bigger movies, deeper movies and certainly more consequential movies. In the Grey doesn't seem particularly bothered. It arrives. It looks terrific. It moves." |
| Pajiba | "It’s obviously not as good as Man from U.N.C.L.E., but it has the same essential DNA: dashing men killing people while looking good doing it. Guns, forearms, and banter. What the hell else do you need?" |
