The film has drawn comparisons to Nightcrawler and has been described as ‘part investigative thriller, part chilling horror film’.
Netflix has just added a new horror thriller movie with a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes to its library.
Titled Disappear Completely, the Mexican film premiered back in 2022 at Fantastic Fest to rave reviews but has only now landed on the streaming service.
The movie stars Harold Torres (Silent Night, ZeroZeroZero) as Santiago, an ambitious tabloid crime photographer who visits a crime scene to take pictures.
Shortly after, however, he falls victim to a mysterious illness that makes him lose his five senses one by one.
Disappear Completely hasn’t received a huge amount of attention yet – perhaps due to it not having had a major theatrical release and, until recently, not being available on a major streaming platform.
But if the reviews are anything to go by, the horror could be about to explode in popularity.
Those who have seen Disappear Completely have described it as a “powerful tale of regret and power”, a “fusion of Nightcrawler with witch doctors,” as well as being “part investigative thriller, part chilling horror film.”
