Disney+ has just added 13 big movies to its library

Including a VERY RECENT Oscar-winning title…

It sure is a good time to be a Disney+ subscriber. Just last week, they service added 17 big movies to its library, while they also gave us a look at what to expect to be added to the library throughout April, and it is very impressive.

Today we’re taking a look at the 13 new additions to the library, starting with…

AFTERMATH

Following the events of World War II, tensions rise when a young woman (Keira Knightley) is torn between her British colonel husband (Jason Clarke) and a German man (Alexander Skarsgård) they are now living with.

ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS

28% on Rotten Tomatoes. There is MUCH better stuff to show the kids on Disney+, to be fair.

AMELIA

A look at the life of the legendary pilot Amelia Earhart (played by Hilary Swank), who disappeared in 1937 while attempting to make a flight around the world.

DEATH ON THE NILE

Released in cinemas just a few months ago, Kenneth Branagh directs and stars in this boat-bound murder-mystery with an all star cast including Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Rose Leslie, Sophie Okonedo, Jennifer Saunders, and Letitia Wright.

THE EYES OF TAMMY FAYE

Jessica Chastain has just won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of the titular Tammy Faye, telling the true story of the rise and fall of her televangelism career and marriage to Jim Bakker (Andrew Garfield).

GOAL!

The story of an extremely talent young footballer (Kuno Becker) who is spotted by a scout for Newcastle United and given the opportunity to play professionally.

THE LOVE PUNCH

A romantic comedy about a divorced couple (Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson) who scheme to recover the retirement money that was stolen from them.

MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS

Kenneth Branagh’s first outing as Poirot is equally decked out as the sequel in terms of star power: Tom Bateman, Penélope Cruz, Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer and Daisy Ridley,

THE PROPOSAL

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds star in this very easy-to-watch rom-com about a boss from hell (Bullock) who convinces her overworked assistant (Reynolds) to pretend to be her boyfriend so she can avoid being deported back to Canada.

QUARTET

The annual concert held at a retirement home for musicians is disrupted by the arrival of an ageing diva (Maggie Smith), who also happens to be the ex-wife of one of the residents. Co-stars include Michael Gambon, Billy Connolly and Sheridan Smith.

SEVEN PSYCHOPATHS

Martin McDonagh’s follow-up to In Bruges sees him reunite with Colin Farrell for this darkly comic tale about a screenwriter caught in the middle of a complicated kidnapping scheme. Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken and Sam Rockwell co-star.

TAMARA DREWE

A journalist (Gemma Arterton) living in London returns to the small town she came from to sell her mother’s home, and gets romantically involved with some of the locals (played by Dominic Cooper and Luke Evans).

TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY

One of the best spy movies ever made, with a stellar cast including Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Colin Firth and Mark Strong.
