One of the most jaw-dropping documentaries ever is getting a sequel

Rory Cashin

The Jinx

Apparently there is even more to this story than we thought…

If you’ve never seen it, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst is an absolute must-watch. The six-part documentary series was first aired on HBO in 2015, and deserves to be mentioned alongside the likes of The Imposter, Tiger King, Making A Murderer and The Staircase in terms of the most jaw-dropping documentaries of all time.

That first season examined the incredibly complicated life of reclusive real estate icon Robert Durst, who also happened to be the key suspect in a series of unsolved crimes.

Durst was actually arrested a mere few hours before the final episode of the original HBO series aired back in 2015, before being convicted of murder in 2021.

It has now been confirmed that director Andrew Jarecki is returning for The Jinx: Part Two, which will be “presenting new information about the real estate heir-turned convicted murderer”.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, The Jinx: Part Two will “feature interviews with people who had not previously come forward, as well as Durst’s prison phone calls, and other new information that connects Durst to the murders of Susan Berman and Morris Black, as well as the disappearance of his wife, Kathleen McCormack”.

The Jinx: Part Two will debut on HBO in 2024, which means we’ll be getting it on Sky Atlantic and NOW in Ireland and the UK. And if you haven’t seen that original docu-series, you can watch all six episodes right now with a NOW Entertainment Membership.
