Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Downton Abbey.Plot's it all about?
Not a lot to go on, we're afraid. The official synopsis is still a bit of a mystery - this trailer is the first time we actually found out the official title of the movie, which is... well, also the name of the show - but it does appear to be something that requires people to be invited to an event.
The trailer doesn't even give a cast-list, just the characters in the show who are now set to also appear in the movie: Lord Grantham and Lady Grantham, Lady Mary Talbot, Lady Hexham, The Dowager Lady Grantham, Tom Branston, Mr. Barrow, Mr. Bates, Mrs. Patmore, Daisy Mason, Lady Merton, Mr. Carson, Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Bates, Mr. Molesley, and Miss Baxter.
What we do know is that the script is written by Julian Fellowes (the creator of the show), and will be directed by the same person that brought everyone to tears with the show's 2015 Christmas special.
Consider yourself cordially invited...
