It is being made by the people behind some of the most beloved movies of recent years.
A biographical movie about Elon Musk is in the works at film production company A24, with Darren Aronofsky already attached to direct.
First reported by Puck before later being confirmed by Variety, the project will be based on Walter Isaacson’s 2023 authorised biography about the SpaceX/Tesla CEO and Twitter owner.
Isaacson’s previous biography about Apple co-founder Steve Jobs was previously made into an Oscar-nominated movie starring Michael Fassbender.
According to reports, there was a bidding war for the rights to Isaacson’s Elon Musk book which A24 won.

The production company has been behind some of the most beloved films of recent years including Oscar Best Picture winners Everything Everywhere All at Once and Moonlight, as well as Hereditary, Lady Bird, Midsommar, Uncut Gems and this year’s Talk to Me.
A24 also distributed director Darren Aronofsky’s hit drama from last year The Whale, which won Brendan Fraser the Best Actor Oscar.
As such, it makes sense that the filmmaker – also known for making Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler – has come aboard the production company’s upcoming movie about Musk.
It has not yet been revealed who will play South African-born billionaire in the film.
