At long last,the first image of Emily Blunt as Mary Poppins has arrived, with Emily set to reprise a role made famous by Julie Andrews in 1964 in the sequel, Mary Poppins Returns.
It’s not due out until December 2018 but it hasn’t stopped people from getting very excited.
The first image of Emily shows her in the classic Mary Poppins coat, hat and holding her magic bag.
Suits her…
We also get to see Lin-Manuel Miranda’s character, Jack.
Mary Poppins Returns will be set 20 years after the original movie, when Mary has to return to the Banks household once more to help them through a family tragedy.
It stars Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury, Colin Farrell and Lin-Manuel Miranda and will also see Dick Van Dyke in a minor role.
Roll on Christmas 2018.
