The famous father of Love Island’s Belle entered the villa and immediately made an impression

Paul Moore

Belle Love Island

He’s been in some very notable films and TV shows. Pray for Anton.

While the majority of the time spent by the Love Island contestants is pretty chilled, there are moments when the pressure gets turned up. After all, could you stand to live in the same place and see the same faces for weeks on end?

As is the norm, we’ve seen tantrums, fights, heartbreaks, people ‘cracking on’ with others, and the inevitable eliminations.

However, it’s arguable that nothing is quite as stressful as meeting the parents and on the most recent episode of Love Island, it was time for the family members to enter the villa.

Despite having their ups and downs on the show including one famous fight, Belle and Anton have been one of the more popular couples on the show which is why their elimination came as something of a surprise.

Well, before they packed their bags, it was time for them to meet the parents and Belle’s father, Tamer Hassan, made quite the impression.

Film fans might now him from the likes of Layer Cake, Kick-Ass, Eastern Promises, The Football Factory, and The Business.

The actor also had a small role in Game of Thrones where he played Khal Forzho.

After jokingly saying that he’s going to “rip his (Anton’s) head off” it appears that the couple has his blessing as he said “I’ve got to say you two have unfolded and it’s blossomed into something really beautiful.”

As the group said their goodbyes, we couldn’t help but be intrigued by Tamer telling Anton: “Here’s what we’re going to do. We’re going to go on a nice little road trip… a little rally… and we’re gonna chew the fat – and we’ll go from there!”

We wouldn’t mind being a fly on the wall for that one!

Speaking after they left the villa, Belle was optimistic that her relationship with Anton will continue.

“I would like to say it holds something, we’ve got something good. We get on so well. We’ll take things day by day and see how it goes, but the future looks good. We’ve been genuine, real and (true) to ourselves.”

She added: “We haven’t faked anything. We haven’t allowed ourselves to get wrapped up in it all, we’re realistic about things. It’s cemented a solid foundation and we can hopefully get through the challenges of missing each other. The future looks good.”

As for the first meeting of Anton and Tamer, let’s just say that it was memorable.

Here’s the full clip along with some of the immediate reactions.
