Film fans will love this special Light House Cinema screening event with an Oscar-nominated Kerrywoman

JOE

If you love films, this event is a perfect Friday night.

To mark the premiere of Lady Macbeth, the Light House Cinema in Smithfield is hosting a special screening with a Q&A featuring Oscar-nominated producer Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly.

O’Reilly was nominated for an Academy Award in 2012 for her work on animated short film, Head Over Heels, while Lady Macbeth has been hailed as a triumphant debut for director William Oldroyd, picking up a host of performance and audience awards on the festival circuit and earning superb reviews.

The Light House is one of the coolest cinemas in Ireland, hosting regular screenings of the best domestic and international films. Their Q&A sessions give audiences a rare opportunity to pick the brains of those behind the action on the silver screen, such as Kerry native Cronin O’Reilly, one of the brightest filmmaking talents to emerge from this island in recent years.

The event begins with a 6:30pm screening followed by the Q&A, and is a must-attend for all Irish cinephiles.
