One of the most-anticipated video game adaptations of all time is just a few months away!
Ever since the first game arrived way back in 2007, Hollywood has been trying to adapt Uncharted for the big screen.
In fact, this has been in development for so long, that the initial plans had Mark Wahlberg as the iconic treasure hunter Nathan Drake, paired with Robert De Niro in the father-figure role of Sully.
Now, almost 15 years later, the movie is just about set for arrival, with Wahlberg now in the Sully role, and Spider-Man himself Tom Holland filling the tomb raiding boots of Drake.
They'll be joined by Antonio Banderas as a rival fortune hunter, while Sophia Ali (The Wilds, Grey's Anatomy) will be playing the much-loved frenemy Chloe Frazer.
The adaptation is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Venom, Zombieland), with the plot looking to be a bit of a prequel to the games story, while also dipping into the more famous set-pieces from the franchise itself, including the legendary crashing-plane escape sequence.
Will it successfully break the near-constant curse of Great Games Becoming Bad Movies? We don't have long to wait and see...
